will attempt to change both when they arrive.are they easy to replace
They are a doddle as long as you have a Torx bit to hold the ball joint part at each end still whilst you undo the nut.
Jack up car, remove fr wheel, undo both ends of drop link, pull off, throw in bin.
Put on new one, do up, put wheel on, remove jack.
Repeat on other side.
Tell everyone it was such a hard job you now need a pint.....

Failing that you could hacksaw the nut off?

i have a 54 2.0hdi exc,and i get a knocking noise when i go over a slightly uneven surface.is this a common fault, anyone know what it is.i also get a strange noise to the rear when i go over a speed bump, the best i can describe this is its like a brrrr noise and lasts about 1-2 seconds.
If not track rod end, common fault is the antiroll bar drop link about £20 for apair and change in less than 30 minutes.
