I do like the Puretech engine generally but since day one it has always been slightly hesitant on pulling away, especially when in a bit of a hurry due to a gap in the traffic. Being a manual, there is that slight delay between pushing on the accelerator and the engine spooling up, the clutch needs careful action to not make things worse. Once away the power delivery is fine.

Does anyone have the Puretech automatic, and if so does it still have the same delay?

I have the 1.2 Puretech with the EAT6 Auto box and I have not experienced any “lag”, I think what you are experiencing is probably a delay in the electronic fly by wire throttle response and not turbo lag. I have not read of such a problem on any of the Citroen/Peugeot forums. Maybe mention to your dealer at next service.

Just as a coincidence my new Peugeot 3008 1.2 Puretech with the EAT8 Gearbox is being delivered today, so I wiill update on how this is in due course.

I had a C3 MK3 hatchback with EAT6 Auto box. Engine was 1.2 petrol 110 bhp I was amazed by its performance never felt any lag even from low revs.
I traded that for a C3 Aircross Flair EAT6 auto, again 1.2 petrol but 130 bhp. Performance is fantastic. It's hard to remember it's only 1.2 litres.
Possible if there is lag that the torque converter masks it but it's never felt. Press right foot, and you are gone down the road.
Be interested in knowing what rpm the EAT8 is running at at 70. In the Aircross the EAT6 is 2350 at 70 in 6th
