The first failure of any kind on this car, suddenly the tailgate wouldn't stay open.

Two replacement gas struts arrived via Ebay quickly and efficiently, even with the lockdown, and took just a couple of minutes to fit as they just clip into place.

A bit annoying that the originals have failed after less then four years but I guess these things happen. I'm glad I don't have the powered tailgate, the gas struts for those are eye wateringly expensive.

Yes these struts font look like much but with only one failed the hatch won't stay open. I have tow upward opening kitchen cupboards, gas struts keep them open. They failed and I had to replace them, £120 for 4 superior complete struts and hinges. Originals 10 years old no longer available
