2.0 HDI.

The Mrs had to walk home from up the road.  She said the clutch pedal got stuck down, she managed to limp into a parking spot.  Then there was a weird noise and some smoke, so she turned it off. she said she managed to get the pedal back up after it was off.  Then she walked home.  I'm off to go and have a look, wish me luck.

If it is not simply a case of the pedal snagging on the carpet, then you are likely looking at a clutch plate, pressure plate, thrust bearing and bearing support tube.

A decent clutch kit e.g. LUK around £100. Support tube, used to be main dealer only, around £25
