Hi. Recently retired and am amazed at what I have been missing.

Daytime T.V which consists mainly of begging adverts obviously aimed at good natured older people.

Save the brave donkey, why? Just £3 a month will help the donkey not to mention a new BMW and a couple of luxury holidays every year.

The kid in Africa that walks 5 miles to get water every day, move closer to the water dummy.

Adopt a tiger, where the hell am I going to put it, don’t think the neighbours would be happy although it might be fun at the park.

Even worse adopt a whale might be funny seeing her indoors sharing the bath.

Over 50s life insurance what a joke pay £7 a month for 20 years and when you die the family inherit the life changing sum of £1000, in 20 years time £1000 might buy you a cup of coffee.

I always liked Alan Titchmarsh but he has now joined the rip off old people parasites.

Rant over.

And Schofield cuddling a kitten, telling us to sell our cars at a loss, what a pill0ck, have you noticed with the 5 mile trek for water they are using different kids, at the quoted mortality rate there should be no kids left in Africa, and how come the magic figure for appeals is £3 every time. Besides that bloody Virgin have docked our favourite programs and as compo given us another sports channel & paramount that is repeated on 3 separate channels, whoopie-do, big deal, investigating freeview now

Yes but you don't have to pay for multiple crap channels that stream total rubbish. Ok there are a few good programs, ITV3, Drama, Film 4.

Deduct the number of repeated channels for HD, +1 etc and all the US crap soaps, equally crap hill-billy rebel progs and the like and the promise of 200 plus channels becomes a complete joke, in reality there will actually be an absolute max of 20 channels that ever get watched by myself

I worked out that if I send the£3 for each begging and I'd need to go in benefits to live. In truth the only ones who the money are the buggers at the top with big houses, big cars and yachts. It's all a con. Fed up with it.

Assuming that the advertisers do their research, it seems that us retired folk suddenly become taken in by the offer of a 'free pen'.

Don't you just love the ones showing Grandma and Gramps shelling out there equity release money, oblivious  to the fact they are paying through the nose to borrow their own cash.

A quick aside- I now rely heavily on my electric scooter to get about locally and I notice that leads people to class me as a bit thick, and they almost all shout as if I were deaf!

The old dear getting really excited about her Sun Life funeral protection plan.

She can hardly wait to die so that her family will benefit.

(Just dump the old biddy in a skip seems the best plan).

Or using your own garden seems acceptable as long as theres no pollution to a water course, mind you all that digging would kill me

Same with on the street collections, I give only to the RNLI,

I stopped giving to the RNLI when they sacked several volunteers for misconduct over a petty thing.  A warning would have been enough.  It costs thousands of pounds to train each of them, all devoted volunteers.  The Snowflakes win again.

Anybody have a clue what Emmerdale is doing at present, got so bad with sexual deviants and enough murders to make Barnaby jealous, shows the local cops as being complete dodos, sure it should be rescheduled after the 9pm watershed
