My C3 Picasso Diesel is coming up to 5 years old..

I purchased at 3 years old and the servicing is as follows.

May 2013 - NEW

May 2014 - Serviced - 10K

May 2015 - Serviced - 20K

May 2016 - Serviced - 30K (I bought car in Oct 2016)

May 2017 - Serviced - 36K

Currently at 42K

I need to decide whether to go for £115 interim or £195 Full Service. I plan to keep car for another 5 years. Currently only do around 6K p.a.

My feeling is that the vehicle checks that the full service entails would be covered by the MOT (which is OCT) so wouldn't want to waste money on this. Does anyone know what other things get replaced on a full service - gearbox oil? Brake Fluid??

The service manual schedule should say. Or the garage. Service is done in time or mileag either not both so as you only do a low mileage per year it's time that counts. As you are keeping the car is the saving if £80 worth it in the long term.

Thanks for the info. The extra cost of the Major service is for an air filter and a diesel fuel filter - just had an email from the dealer. Just weighing up if this is worth it. Parts are probably £35 so £45 to fit these two - I can do the air myself but wouldn't want to tackle fuel filter...not sure if this has ever been done.

Might be worth it....

Looking at the service record the fuel filter was done at 20K - the book says that it should be replaced at 40K intervals. I have done 22K since it was last done - It may have been done at 30K service but I don't have the paperwork as at that point it was in the ownership of a garage and they will have probably just done an interim rather than the major service.
