Hi,  My 2003  2lt. HDI Picasso's main beams remain on all the time regardless whether the key is on or off.  I have had to remove the High Beam fuses.  Also replaced the Coms2000 unit but no luck.  MOT tomorrow so need help urgent.  Do these vehicles have relays ?  If so where are they located.

1st thing is to do a BSI reset (turn it off/on again). Did you remove the power when you replaced the Comm Unit ?

I usually sit in the back seat to do this, as battery is under the seat:
Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from the ignition.
Wait for 3 minutes, disconnect the vehicle battery and wait 15 seconds.
Reconnect the vehicle battery, wait a further 10 seconds (do not open doors.).
Switch on the side lights through the driver's window.
Switch on the ignition and check system's functionality.
Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds.
Remove key open & close door test central locking system.
Start the engine and complete the system's check.

Hi there,  thanks for your advice given for my lighting problems last year.  I bought a secondhand Coms unit which sorted my problem at that time.

Unfortunately I now have another problem which has manifested itself.  My main beams don't work.  The right headlamp bulb flashed continuously for about 5 seconds one night when I switched off the engine.  Main beams have never worked since then, about five  months now.

I have checked everything, fuses, replaced bulbs and fuses but still no luck.  MOT is looming so getting a bit anxious.

You have given details on how to reset the BSI unit but I am a little confused.  If I am in the back disconnecting the battery, how do I switch on lights and engine without getting out and opening the doors which you say not to do.  I know I am being stupid here but can you give me a more step by step process.

Your help will really be appreciated.

Yes open the driver's door window before waiting the so many minutes before disconnecting the battery. Then you can operate in and lights through window.
