I've tried to have a look on here and the web for an answer but nothing is jumping out of me.

My rear passenger door will not open.

I have tried unlocking/locking with key in front pass door and drivers door

I can open the door only by continually pressing the internal lock button and by pulling on the internal handle. Sometimes the door then works as normal using external handle but more often than not I cannot open the door again without going through the rigmarole of pressing internal lock button and pulling internal handle. To say it's infuriating is an understatement haha.

Even car mechanic baffled

Any ideas please? Car due mot in 10 days and I know it will fail if can't open door.

Thanks in advance

Sam

i have just had this problem with my 14 c3 pic and a search brought up this topic.

nearside back door wouldn't open from the outside.

there is a locking mechanism on the edge of the door the key fits into and turns 1/8 of a turn. anticlockwise lock clockwise unlock

i was still having problems whether they were locked or unlocked.

i set them both to unlocked then reset the auto door locking system and it seems to have worked.

i think my son pressing the lock unlock button on the dash put something out of sync.

I had similar issue with rear doors, turns out I had accidentally knocked switch on drivers door armrest which de-activated rear doors unlock
