Hi folks,

My reversing lights have packed up.
I have checked the bulbs, and the F20 and F21 fuses as described in the handbook which are ok. Next step would probably be the switch I would have thought.Does anyone know where it is located? My Pic is an '04' 2.0 HDI Desire.

Many thanks.

Does anyone know?

Is it situated on top of the gearbox behind the air box?

I can see what looks like the switch which seems to be just a case of screwing it in and refitting the connector.

Cheers.

Hope this is does not count as thread hijack, but I have a similiar problem. Reversing lights not working checked all the fuses/lights no issues. So I assume it is the reversing light switch.

Have the Haynes Manual, but it only indicates it is a plunger switch on the front transmission, and to change I need to remove the air ducts. Can anyone give me a bit more detail on location please. I am new to this so please be gentle

Cheers

Location of reversing switch shown in red. (This is for a 2003 HDI gearbox)

Thanks very much that will hopefully help. Is that Service website something that us DIYers can access?

Another quick question, the Haynes manual seems to indicate that the switch can be tested prior to removal of the air ducts. Does anybody know if this possible

Thanks again

Have you been able to replace the switch? My reversing lights are not working, as is the automatic sweep of the rear wiper when in reverse, so was wondering if this fixed the problem? Are your symptons similar to mine or did your rear wiper still work?
