Greetings!

I have an X-plate HDi. Before setting off for the delights of Eurodisney I had the air con serviced. The journey to Eurodisney was faultless, however the journey back was a little more stressful. Just as we were leaving, the the engine temperature light started flashing, saying STOP - warning - engine temperature! As the actual engine temperature was normal, and the cooling fan was coming on I continued to drive. However; if I turned the air con off, the increasingly irritating intermittent beeping stopped? As logic would have it I linked the beeping to the air conditioning! To add to my woes, after stopping for a water break somewhere approaching Calais, on re-starting the Picasso - the air conditioning would not work; nor would any of the blowers, even in ECO mode - BRILLIANT - it was only 33 degrees! It wasn't until the car had been parked up in the ferry (rested and cooled?) for a couple of hours that normal 'cool' service was resumed, albeit still with the irritating beeping.

The Picasso has been in to the local Citroen specialist for two weeks now- they have supposedly wired up, checked, traced, replaced and reset all possible causes; however she continues to beep. I think they are stumped! The only response I now get is that it 'must be a wiring' problem, or I will have to repllace the ECU. I have just spent a fortune on the car relacing link arms and ball joints (drives like a dream!) so I could do without having to fork out on an expensive sounding ECU.

Any advice would really be most gratefully received.

If you would, a phone call would be ideal as I am Picasso less unless I concede defeat!
