The display message 'ESP/ASR NOT FUNCTIONING' comes up each time after a few miles on my 53 Zsara Picasso 2.0 Auto Exclusive. It happened just over a year ago and the dealer said it was the switch on the dashboard. Anyway, whatever they did they charged me £69.14 and it only lasted OK until a month ago. As I was only 2 days over the 12 month warranty for that work, they said they would charge me again if it was the same fault. Has anyone had the same problem and how was it fixed?
farmerrite. I think this will be one for kfk to be honest as its a bit picasso specific for me. The only thing I can say is that they (being the garage) probably reset the MIL light when you last took it in and that was what the charge was for. I guess somewhere you have an intermittent fault.
I've not seen that error personally the only thing similar was a Pic showing an ABS error on the dash. No error codes were logged in the ECU.
Turned out to be two things - low on brake fluid and a faulty connector on the front nearside abs sensor.
I would say i would take a look but no one lives near me :-)
